Abstract
Lebih dari 120 juta lapangan kerja diserap oleh UMKM. Tuntutan akan produk UMKM tak hanya dari segi kualitas tapi juga kehalalan. Kementrian perdagangan menjelaskan bahwa sertifikasi halal akan berakhir pada 17 Oktober 2024. UMKM harusmempersiapkan produknya memiliki sertifikasi halal. Minimnya pengetahuan akan sertifikasi halal, tentang kenapa harus halal, bagaimana mendapatkannya dan apa dampaknya harus disosialisasikan secara cepat diseluruh lapisan UMKM. Belum meluasnya pedampingan tentang sertifikasi halal berikut sosialisasinya, maka tim dari Universitas Muhammadiyah Gresik didukung oleh Pengabdian Masyarakat RisetMu bermaksud mengadakan sosialisasi dan pedampingan tersebut sampai produk UMKM tersebut terdaftar sertifiaksi halal. Bekerjasama dengan binaan UMKM Lazismu Gresik, TIM bermaksud meningkatkan kualitas UMKM tidak hanya dari segi kehalalan tapi layak eksport. Produk layak eksport disini juga akan mendorong produk UMKM jauh lebihbaik dari sebelumnya. Adanya kualifikasi eksport yang juga mumpuni untuk dijadikan objek acuan berharap UMKM Gresik utamanya binaan LazisMu mampu bersaing tak hanya nasional tapi go internasional.
